Hand Made Maracas
Made Of Gourds & Seed Pods
Hand Carved in a scrimshaw style & Painted.
I have not seen any like these with the seed pods used as a barriers between the gourd and handle.
The larger maraca has a cut and hollow seed pod attached with twine.
Because of the use of Red Green and Yellow paint indicates these are probably from Africa.
The Larger Maraca is Approximately 10″ Total Length The Gourd is round with an approximate diameter of 4″ 5oz
The Smaller is Approximately 8″ Total Length x 3″ Diameter 2oz
Very good condition with minor signs of previous use. Please check all photos.
