Offered today is a Brakeman’s Hat WITH BADGE from the Northern Pacific Railroad. Do not know the size of the hat but the inside measures approximately 7 1/4″. The hat is complete with the cording and 2 side buttons marked “NP” and it also has NP Badge with the enamel Monad logo. Inside the hat is a label marked, “Marshall Field & Company Uniform Division Chicago”. The hat is in very rough shape with the top material worn away from the sides, revealing the felt underneath and some aging on the one cord on the side. The brim has scratches and the inside leather is aged and cracked, so I would consider condition as poor. The badge is in excellent condition.
