vintage gourd 10" long maracas ~1960 probably Haiti definitely Latin America

Description

Great sounds from these two vintage gourd maracas with wooden handles.
Nice carvings on each. One has been repaired, one has a surface crack.
10″ total length
Purchased by my mother, possibly during a trip that included Haiti in the 1960s. If not that trip, it was one of other trips she took to Latin America in the late 1950s early 1960s.
